About the Role
As a Food Runner at Picnic, you will play a key role in supporting the service team and ensuring guests receive their food and beverages promptly and accurately. You will help maintain a smooth flow between the kitchen, bar and dining areas while ensuring each table receives attentive and seamless service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in creating a positive guest experience through teamwork and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver food from the kitchen pass to guest tables accurately by seat number while ensuring proper presentation and timing
- Support servers by assisting with table maintenance, including clearing used plates, resetting tables, and keeping the dining area organized
- Deliver bar beverages and cafe orders to table-service guests while ensuring orders reach guests promptly and correctly
- Provide ongoing table support by refilling water, delivering bread, and restocking condiments as needed
- Communicate effectively with Servers, Hosts, Kitchen Team, and Managers to maintain a smooth service flow
- Assist in creating a clean, organized and welcoming dining environment for every guest
Qualifications
- Smart Serve certification required
- Food Handler Certificate, an asset
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized under pressure
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends and holidays
